Quality and Occupational Safety

Quality and occupational safety are at the core of our operations

All our operations are based on our own quality system and operations manual. We work according to standards, and the same quality requirements apply to all operations and subcontracting.

Quality and safety guide the work from project design to installation. Long experience in demanding industrial projects, a standardised operating model and careful work planning ensure that our projects progress in a controlled, timely and safe manner.

Our high-quality work is guaranteed by an operating system certified by Dekra Oy. The operations manual prepared to support the business is based on the following standards: ISO 9001, EN ISO 38342, ISO 45001 and EN 1090-1.

Quality comes from design and management

Delivering quality always begins at the quotation stage, when we review the project’s requirements. A high-quality process continues all the way to order handover and documentation. We place special emphasis on work planning and preparation. As much of the work as possible is done in engineering workshop conditions in Pori before installation. This reduces work stages at the site, improves the consistency of the end result and reduces the risk of errors.

Project management is one of our key strengths. Over 30 years of experience shows in our ability to manage large entities, tight schedules, demanding materials and high quality standards at the same time. Careful design supports cost-effectiveness and the smooth progress of projects also from the customer’s point of view.

Safety as part of everyday work

Safety is a key element in the daily operations of Porin Teollisuusputki. Working methods, processes and practices are highly standardised and based on clear guidelines and quality and safety systems. This provides predictability and certainty both to our own personnel and customers.

A high prefabrication rate also improves occupational safety. When the amount of on-site installations decreases, high-risk work phases also decrease. Long-term subcontracting relationships and working according to an integrated operating model support safe and consistent operation in all projects.

Continuous improvement and responsible practices

Porin Teollisuusputki develops its operations systematically. The ISO 14001 environmental management system supports a holistic approach in which environmental aspects are taken into account as part of daily work. Certification requires regular audits and continuous improvement, which shows, among others things, in the development of energy efficiency, reduction of material waste as well as the optimisation of waste sorting and material flows.

Combining quality, safety and environmental responsibility is especially important in demanding industrial projects.
